WebI hand feed chickens all the time and it doesn't hurt at all! It basically feels like pressure hitting your hand very quickly so it could be startling if you're not expecting it. I've never felt that their beaks are very sharp or that they could hurt me. I grew up with chickens though, and my husband who didn't refuses to hand feed them.
